I love good food, good wine, and highly subjective works of art.  I also love to write.  So what's wrong with combining these passions? I write and edit for Frenchsommelier.com while in front of the fireplace with a glass of Pinot Noir during the winter and on the porch with a spritzer and a side of guacamole during the summer.  Being an oenophile is all about an appreciation for the good life, after all.
In good health and good wine-

Wine geek, certified Sommelier, wine importer, but above all a bon vivant. Born in France, I now live as an expatriate in the United States, I discovered my passion for wine later on in life, most likely to reconnect with my childhood and my country.  I prefer wines with character, spices and a pinch of oak (not enough, however, to be unpleasant!). My goal for this blog is to share some of my knowledge about wine regions and some tasting notes. Enjoy and santé!

My name is Zyad, but everyone calls me Zyco. I'm Parisian, since always. I love Paris, it's a fabulous city, a city populated by museums where you never feel lazy!  But because I've got a case of wanderlust, I travel a lot too: to Lapland, Sicily, the Dominican Republic, Morocco, the United States...these are some of the many places I've had the opportunity to discover and photograph. Yes, in my professional life I'm a photographer for events, companies, but also for my own pleasure and my own passion.

I'm Michael Amendola, a lifelong food and wine lover, a professional musician, and a wine professional who has   worked in the industry for the past 14 years. I'm currently the Wine Director for The Village Wine Merchant in Sea Cliff, NY where I'm able to taste many, many wines and where I regularly conduct classes and tastings for customers. I've also worked in several wine shops and written about wine for many blogs and publications. I believe that wine is culture, a way of life, and in my columns I'll be sharing my passion and knowledge in a direct and unpretentious way.
